For university libraries
University libraries may assist students in registering with and borrowing books from Celia.
Becoming a customer of Celia
Celia lends textbooks to university students with print disabilities, i.e. people who have difficulties reading printed text. Print disability can be caused by e.g. visual disability, dyslexia, intellectual and developmental disability or a muscular disability. Textbooks may be offered in DAISY talking book, DAISY hybrid book (with both text and synthesised voice) and Braille formats.
Students with a print disability must register as Celia customers to borrow textbooks. Universities may order registration forms from Celia and distribute them to students who need Celia's services. Students must enclose an authorised statement of their print disability with their registration form and send it to Celia.
Celia will contact the customer when it has received the statement and registration form.
By registering with Celia, customers agree to comply with the library's terms of use.
Celia's textbooks are reproduced under Section 17 of the Copyright Act. They are intended for personal use only and may not be passed on to others.
Borrowing
Upon registration, students can receive a Login ID and Password to browse the Celianet database and borrow books. Celia's collection may be browsed online even without logging in, but borrowing requires a valid Login ID and Password.
University libraries are requested to assist students in using Celianet, for instance in conjunction with information sessions on how to use library services.

Borrowing books from other Nordic libraries
All of Celia's print disabled customers can borrow materials in foreign languages from other Nordic countries. University libraries can help students register as customers with Norwegian and Danish libraries for the visually impaired. Celia can also borrow Swedish and English books on its customers' behalf from the Swedish Library of Talking Books and Braille (TPB, Talboks- och punktskriftsbiblioteket). The Swedish TPB has an extensive collection of textbooks in Swedish and English.
